Plans for a new urban district for Oxford, which has the potential to support 4,500 jobs, have taken a major a step forward.
Oxford North, previously known as Northern Gateway, would incorporate about 936,000 sq ft of workspace, 480 new homes for approximately 1,500 people and 23 acres of open spaces including three new parks.
The proposals were submitted by Thomas White Oxford, on behalf of St John’s College, to Oxford City Council.
The hybrid application is seeking outline consent for the overall masterplans and detailed permission for the first phase of development.
